What is the Digital Services Act (DSA)?
The Digital Services Act (DSA) is a European Union regulation designed to create a safer, more transparent, and accountable digital environment for all users. It protects consumers’ rights online and sets clear obligations for digital platforms operating within the EU. You can learn more on the official EU Commission DSA page: The EU’s Digital Services Act
Why am I being asked to provide information?
Under the DSA, platforms like ours are required to display specific information about sellers who qualify as “traders” - typically businesses or individuals selling in a professional capacity.
If you are registered as a business or, according to our records, you are considered a trader, we are legally required to display some of your contact and identification details to buyers, to ensure transparency and build trust.
This requirement applies to all platforms offering goods or services to consumers within the EU.
What information will be displayed?
The following details will be shown to buyers during the checkout process:
- Your full name (or company name, if applicable)
- Address
- Email address
- Phone number
This information helps buyers understand who they’re purchasing from and ensures compliance with EU law.
Can I refuse to provide this information?
Unfortunately, no. If you choose not to complete the required form:
- You will no longer be able to publish new listings and
- Your current active listings will be hidden from buyers.
This is a legal obligation we must enforce to continue offering services to professional sellers.
Our approach
We understand this is a change, and we’re committed to making the process as simple as possible for you. We also aim to use this transparency as a positive - helping buyers feel more confident and driving more sales for compliant sellers.
